At this year’s Food and Beverage Exhibition in Tokyo – FOODEX 2013 – The Tvrdos Monastery Wine Cellars, along with four other BiH companies (Sava Semberija from Bijeljina, Andrija Cellars, Citluk Vinery, Nuic Vinery) exhibited their wines. The Exhibition is one of the largest in Asia and gets over 75,000 visitors. Tvrdos Vinery took part at the Exhibition upon the invitation from the Japanese trade organization JETRO in coordination with the Government of Japan and the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina. At this year’s wine competition, Mundusvini, in Neustadt, Germany, the Tvrdos Cellars wine Hum – Cabernet Sauvignon won a silver medal. This competition, which is held under the auspices of the World organization of Wine and Vine (OIV – Organisation internationale de la vigne et du vin) in Paris, is one of the most prestigious international wine competitions in the world. As for other “Tvrdos” wines, they fared well at the recent Decanter World Wine awards 2012. The silver medal is yet another recognition of the continuity in top quality of the Monastery and the East Herzegovina region wines.

On 28 September, the event popularizing science “The Night of Explorers” took place in Trebinje gathering around 120 students of the Universities of Banja Luka and East Sarajevo, as well as the “Dr Milan Jelic” Fund students.
